The IXORA by JiaWei
I stride, in the gentle breeze,
Into a paradise of greenery.
Then, I saw it,
A spot of red in a sea of turquoise, oh…. So lovely.
Outstanding it is!
Petals in a shade of crimson red,
Branches stiff and strong,
Like muscular arms of grown men.
Sweet scents drifted to my nostrils,
Such fragrance is unimaginable!
Sittin’ in ladylike pose,
The souls of the intangible.
Distant rumbling, tears of heaven,
I gazed into the gray above,
Stepping into the heavy downpour,
Crushing the beauty of its life.
Am I too selfish?
To hide the beauty within me,
Forgive me, my love……………..
Forgive me, my Ixora………………
